About a year from your retirement

Although you’ve been tracking the balance of your 401(k) account(s), it’s time again to step back and take an audit of your finances to see if you’re closing in on your financial goals for retirement. Most recommendations will be to protect your assets with conservative investments.

After you’ve determined your retirement date

Check in with your financial advisor or personal coach to discuss your plans. Make any spending and/or saving changes. Keep in mind: You can leave your 401(k) account with Latham when you retire and receive your distributions according to your wishes.
